A superb display of aurora as captured on film by David Woodward from Condover in Shropshire. Cygnus is on the left hand side of the picture. Vega is within the display. At one point a shaft of red aurora passed overhead. The display lasted from early evening until eventually fading out during the small hours of the morning. Taken 8th November 1991. 28mm lens at F2.8. Ektachrome 400. 10-15s exposure.
