sunset

An image showing how the Sun appears to be distorted as it approaches the horizon. In fact the refraction is so severe that (in the geometric sense) the sun set several minutes before it finally appears to go. A little while after these photographs were taken the elusive Green Flash was seen. A picture of that awaits negative scanning. The photographs were taken with a 200mm lens at F5.6 on Konica 200ASA film by Grant Privett in Wales. September 2001.
