The gobsmacking Comet McNaught. Unfortunately, none of our members caught it from the northern hemisphere - it was tricky - but member Rachel Gilmore nee Dowsett caught this picture of it while working at the Chile observatories down south. A lovely picture. Could be the southern hemisphere Comet of the century with only 7% gone. The observatory site boasts even better pictures. Well worth a look
