n6946-2

NGC6946 on the Cygnus/Cepheus border. A splendid face on spiral and a steady source of observable extragalactic supernovae. Its fairly easily spotted (its 9th mag) and can at low power share a field with the open cluster NGC6939. The camera used was a Starlight SXV-M7. Created using a 10" F4.4 Newtonian on an ageing SP mount. I used 120x 45s exposures and stacked them using AstroArt4. Grant Privett.
